Do you offer a monthly membership?
No. Walk2Fit does not offer memberships. It does not require any long-term commitment. Rather, you can buy as many or as few classes as you like. If you want to buy one class, that's fine. But, if you're walking regularly, our larger series offer a price discount.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes. Walk2Fit gift certificates are called " W2F gift cards". And can be used to buy classes or merchandise. Once a class is purchased using a gift card, it will expire just like any other class purchased. Gift cards are available for purchase at the studio. For more information, call us at 914-713-3932
Are classes different from gift cards?
Yes, you can purchase classes as well as gift cards, but they are not the same thing. Unlike gift cards or gift certificates, classes are for our walkers only. You cannot give classes to another as a gift (i.e. convey ownership). Classes do expire. The expiration dates are posted in the descriptions of the class or series of classes. If, however, you get jammed up and cannot book a walk in time, just give us a call, stop by the studio or e-mail us and we can help.
Can I buy a class and then give it as a gift?
No. You cannot sell or transfer your class to someone else.
Can I redeem a class and get cash back?
No. When you buy a class the sale is final. You cannot redeem your class for cash.
Can I redeem a class for merchandise?
No. You cannot redeem your class for merchandise.
What if I can't do everything in the class? I haven't worked out in a while.
One of the best things about walking is that it can fit any fitness level. With the ability to walk at your own pace, the workout can suit each walker abilities. With every class comes increased confidence and strength.
Is there a beginner class?
No. You can take any class, no worries just follow your heart and have fun.
How is Walk2Fit different from all the different classes offered at my gym?
Walk2fit is a unique exercise because we use a unique mechanical treadmill. The MaxerRunner reproduces outdoor walking, trekking, climbing and running - we can vary your incline and the treadmill tension.
How many calories are burned per class?
It depends on the weight of the individual and the inclining. Research indicates that on average, you could burn from 500-800 calories in a vigorous 45-minute workout.
Can I walk if I am pregnant?
If your doctor has not limited you (due to a particular condition), absolutely yes, walking is for everybody.
Do you have childcare in the studio?
No. Unfortunately, we don't.
Do you have locker rooms?
Yes, we have lockers with locks. We also have separate changing rooms. We do not have showers.
Do you have water or do I have to bring mine?
We recommend that you bring water, but no worries we sell small water bottles for $2
What are your studio rules?
All walkers must sign a waiver prior to their first class.
We reserve the right to release any treadmills that are not signed in 5-minutes before a class begins. In order to hold the treadmill, we ask you to call the studio to let us know you are on your way and running late. The front desk will hold a treadmill for up to 10 minutes after class begins. Walkers who are more than 10 minutes late will not be admitted into class.
*In order to cancel a class reservation and return it to your account, you must unreserve 24 hours prior to the class. If a walker does not cancel their treadmill they will be charged for it. Walkers can cancel by logging into their profile online or calling the studio directly.
*We are not responsible for any items that are lost or stolen at our studios.
*If a walker is planning on leaving class early, we ask that they please tell the Instructor ahead of time.
